Unbridled Emotions!

Last week, when I went for that oh so adventurous night-trek to Scanda Giri, due to my poor nocturnal eye-sight, I went straight through bushes. After a couple of minutes, when I got a breather to check how affected my calf muscles are after the incident, I spotted two dots spaced exactly by some distance to throw an impression of snake-bite. Being a timid and a faint-hearted guy I am, I was scared to death and felt that those would be my last minutes. Even the well experienced guide's could not assuade me to think positively. After half an hour, I started to feel dizzy and though it has got nothing to do with the thorny-snake bite, I felt for sure those are my final few breaths. Instead of panicking(Oh, a very good situation handler I am - though I am scared to death), I thought out what to do in those final few minutes. How much ever I focussed, only ONE thing came to my mind. That stark revelation was just the kind of thing I wanted in my life. It told me how much I really take those things for granted, that I should never have ignored in the first place. It told me how much I take my father's love for granted!

Imagine the struggle a father goes through when he sends his son for higher studies to far off places just so that the son gets what he wanted, even though the father can't leave the son. The father thinks 24X7 about how to enrich his son's life and the son doesn't even care to call him once a week! If in case, the son has a girl friend(fortunately or unfortunately, that's a different story), the amount of time he devotes to his dad would be around 2-5% of the time he devotes to his career and girl friend put together. Everytime, the father sees an article in the newspaper talking about recession in IT industry in a remote country like Sumatra, he starts to get worried about his son's career being threatened. This is the kind of unconditional love that the fathers have for their sons. But still, sons show their irritation when fathers show that extra amount of care that they think their sons deserve.

I am not arguing that sons do not have love towards their father. What I am saying is, they do not express it and put their father son relationship in jeopardy! What I am saying is, tell your dad how much you love him before it's too late! Tell him everything that you always wanted to tell but could never tell because of one or ther other reason! Let nothing come in between! May be after a couple of decades when you are in your dad's position, don't let a situation come, where you regret for treating your father the way your son is treating you now!

Note: If you don't agree with what I have written here, either you are the one true son every father wants to have or you don't have the guts to accept what you are.

That little extra effort

It is yet another saturday afternoon and after playing an hour of tennis, we are tired and chitchatting about our normal routine life. One of the topics that came up during the discussion is about the efforts men put up to score a beautiful girl. Conclusion? well... Whatever men do, either intentionally or unintentionally can be related to their efforts in having that wonderful sex with a beautiful girl.

Any little extra effort they put up to get a better life, more money, better life style is all in a bid to ensure that, that beautiful girl picks him ahead of others. Come to think of it, Chiranjeevi mentioned in one of his party meetings that, handloom industry is suffering from lack of interest from the youth and one of the reasons Youth's disinterest towards handloom industry is because, they are not getting married. At the end of the day, every one wants to get married and everyone wants to come home and relax in the lap of their wonderful wife! Nowadays, everyone wants to be a software engineer (that's the main reason I became a software engineer ;)) and earn the respect of girls' parents and in turn girls'. Oh my God, I am just one of them! Even my attempts to get that better life can inturn be applied to having that wonderful sex with a beautiful girl!

Chat right inside Orkut

Oh my God, I love Google. Every time, I feel they are not bending their backs in improving their apps, they come up with another new feature. Yesterday, I have blogged about new Themes features in GMail. Now, its the turn for Talk application right inside Orkut. You can see who is online and just click on the bubble next to their name and you can use the same experience as GTalk in GMail. Awesome, isn't it!

Themes in GMail!

So far, to spice up the GMail, I had to use the BetterGmail extension in firefox. But now, GMail has started rolling out a new feature which will enable to choose a theme that already exists and also create our own custom theme! Sounds fantastic. Also, GMail blog mentions that they have tweaked the default theme a little bit to make it look even better, though I couldn't notice that!

Anyway, which one do you like the most?

Bhuvan to beat Google Earth?

I am sure everyone of you must be aware of the GoogleEarth and might have used it one time or the other. But consider this. ISRO after successfully launching Chandrayaan is all set to unveil its ambitious project 'Bhuvan', which is direct competitor to GoogleEarth and is supposed to offer better clarity and visual details than GoogleEarth. And more over, Bhuvan will use only Indian Satellites to gather the Earth's information and the maps will be updated/refreshed on an annual basis, far superior to GoogleEarth, which currently refreshes its data every four years.

If ISRO successfully launches this application, this will surely propel India into never-before-seen heights in technology and Innovation space.

Presenting to you ASAD!

What is the most oft spoken language, least understood language, most studied language (no proof though), oldest language and wonder filled language? Thinking of Chinese, Arabic, Greek or Hindi? Think again, it's Music.

Music has no barriers, that's why we listen to Michael Jackson's songs and tap our feet in applause. Like so many people in the world, I am one of the avid music listeners and would want to share with my fellow friends (i.e. who ever visit my blog regularly) a song a day that they can listen to all day long and still want to listen to it! And I named, yes-you guessed it right, A Song A Day.

As today's song, I present to you KT Tunstall's Suddenly I see from her Eye to the Telescope album.

Listen to this song till I come up with another of my favourites! ;)

So, what's with me?

I started blogging a couple of years ago, when it was in its (not so) nascent stage, but discontinued the habit owing partly to the creative vacuum that has filled me and partly to the more interesting ventures that I have dived into, not the least is my passion of following startups and latest technological advances! Oh yeah, it yielded to my recent tech blog. Follow this link to reach it!

Off-late my friends kept asking me - "what's keeping you busy these days, huh?". So, I tried to answer that question as properly as possible. Here's one more go! Well, one of the main reasons is my vigorous training schedule to crack the GMAT, which is on 29th September. Understandably and to my frustration, it is not heading towards the right direction. One other thing is my increased passion towards playing tennis and squash. Though I made little headway in learning these games, these are the best sports in the sporting history, apart from boxing of course, to relieve some of the work and GMAT stress! ;) So, why this solitary behaviour? This is something that I cannot explain for the obvious reason being, I myself don't know! :)

But, from now on, I have resolved to take some time off from my busy life style to post what's happening in and around my personal life on a regular basis! To add to my determination, Srikanth has added my blog to his links list which in itself is a huge motivating factor for any aspiring blogger! I try not to let him down and repay the faith he has reposed on my blogging abilities! :D

I always wanted to tell you...

I always wanted to tell you...

How much I love you!

But, never had I, the courage

When I was with you!

I wanted to tell you…

When we went to the movie,

When we danced to the tunes of Bryan Adams,

When we took a solitary walk with our hands clasped,

When you cried your eyes out when I am leaving,

How much I like you!

I wanted to tell you…

When I saw the brightness in your eyes,

When I saw the blush in your cheeks,

When I saw the broad smile on your face,

When I felt your hand on mine,

How much I love you!

I wanted to tell you…

When we spent hours together without having to speak a word,

When we spent days without worry or sorrow

When we spent years together as if we never have to part

When we enjoyed each others company

How much I care for you!

I wanted to tell you…

When I knew I can no longer be with you…

When I knew you can never be mine again…

When I knew I threw my final opportunity away…

When I knew I can never tell you again…

How much you mean to me!

I always wanted to tell you...

How much I love you!

But, never had I, the courage

When I was with you!

Dethroning season!

Well, this year looks like more of causing tremors under the seats of reigning champions. First it's for Australian Cricket Team who have been largely untroubled by any other Cricket team lost a Test match comprehensively by India, and then it's Rafa being comprehensively beaten by display of sheer power and skill by Tsonga and now, Roger Federer takes the heat.

Considering the case of Australia, they have dominated the last decade or so not only in the Test Matches but in all forms of cricket. Four year back, India showed lot of heart by drawing a series in Australia. Now, they have built on that platform to rock back the Australians this year again by beating them in Perth, supposedly Australia's happy hunting ground! Though it is too early, we can say that Indians are turning the tables very fast to become one of the best test teams in the world usurping the number one position from hands of Australia in their own DEN!

Not far away from the cricketing action where dethroning ceremony has started, its waves have passed on to Melbourne where Australian Open is being held. Initially, it is Tipsarevic who gave a slight shudder to Federer who is lucky to have come safe after that match, couldn't find his form in the just finished semi finals and lost it in straight sets. Novak Djokovic has always believed and preached the whole preceding week that Federer is beatable and has proved it himself. In a display of brute skill and power, he outplayed Federer in all the sets and has given himself a very good chance of winning a grand slam!

No one has given, Tsonga any chance of winning against Nadal in an Australian Open semi finals. But, as it is dethroning season, Tsonga came up with a performance that none can match to upset Nadal to set up a title clash with Djokovic. It's been so long since either Federer or Nadal hasn't been in the finals of a Grand Slam, that I dont recall a scenario happening after Federer won his first grand slam! But it's time for the monarchs and champions to be brought down and this season proves just the same. Wait for the finals of Australian Open to see whether Tsonga continues his prime form to bring up an yet another upset win to win his first Grand Slam title and let the time tell whether Indians can pull off an another victory over Australia at Adelaide to level the series!
